Muthanga & Tholpetty wildlife sanctuaries

Tholpettty and Muthanga wild life sanctuaries are together known as Wayanad Wildlife Sanctury. It is a major Sightseeing Place of Wayanad. If it is your day, you will have an encounter with a Tiger or Leopard. Elephats, Bison, deer, Langur ,Wild Squirrel , Jungle cat and numerous birds are common sight. A two hour safari by jeep is arranged by the forest department into the park. The timings allotted for tourists to explore this sanctuary are between 7 to 9 AM in morning and 3 to 5 PM in the evening.
Muthanga WLS is near to Sulthan Bathery on Bangalore route and Tholpetty is near to Mananthavady.
